January saw the Westwell family entertaining us, with David in the kitchen and Christina front of house.  A Taste of Italy was a most  enjoyable evening with history and language lessons, a quiz followed by the tasting.
We had a conducted tour around Anderton Country Park Marbury in May accompanied by one of the rangers.
We had a Bowls evening with our friends from Stretton in July.
We walked along the River Weaver to Dutton Locks, climbed to Acton Cliff and returned down the fields to the Hollybush where we had our fish supper.  The weather became inclement during the walk.
Don Binks came in September with a talk and slides of his trip down the Nile.
In November Betty Hayhurst entertained us with an illustrated talk on collecting and collectable antiques.

Roger Scowcroft
